Opportunities for Training

We place a strong emphasis upon providing training opportunities for students at all levels. We are particularly interested in students to contribute to our growing collaborations on biobehavioral, health, and brain development among ethnically and culturally diverse youth.

Postdoctoral

Postdoctoral opportunities are available and have been supported through a variety of means, such as the UC Presidential Postdoctoral Fellowship program

Graduate Study

Students interested in doctoral study can apply to the Developmental Psychology program. We also welcome current graduate students from other programs in the Department of Psychology, the School of Education, and other departments on campus.

NICHD T32 Predoctoral Training Program in Adolescent Brain and Behavioral Development. Directed by Adriana Galván, Mirella Dapretto, and Andrew Fuligni, the program offers fellowship support and training for existing predoctoral students in the Psychology and Neuroscience training programs who wish to specialize in adolescence.

Undergraduate Research

Current undergraduate students can obtain assistantships for course credit from the Department of Psychology. Students also have worked with us through the Psychology Research Opportunity Programs, the McNair Scholars Program, and research internship programs offered by other colleges and universities in the Los Angeles area.

Interested undergraduate students can complete an application here. Please note, submitting this interest form does not equate to an official application for a position. This form will only be open when we are actively seeking undergraduate research assistants.
